Damascus (feat Omar Souleyman e Yasiin Bey) é a mais recente faixa inédita do Gorillaz, a quarta do novo álbum de estúdio da banda, The Mountain, que será lançado dia 27 de fevereiro de 2026, pelo KONG, selo próprio da banda.
Escrita por Damon Albarn, Omar Souleyman e Yasiin Bey e gravada em Damasco, Londres, Devon, Mumbai e Nova York, Damascus apresenta o superstar sírio da música beduína Omar Souleyman ao lado do rapper e cantor Yasiin Bey (anteriormente Mos Def). Já firmemente estabelecida como favorita dos fãs, a faixa teve sua estreia ao vivo na performance surpresa especial de The Mountain na Copper Box Arena, em Londres, em setembro, antes de uma recepção entusiasmada no Gaia Festival, em Madri, e no Together For Palestine, na Wembley Arena, evento no qual Damon Albarn e a banda ao vivo do Gorillaz também foram acompanhados no palco pela The London Arab Orchestra.
The Mountain é o nono álbum de estúdio do Gorillaz, um vasto panorama sonoro de instrumentos e timbres, ricamente construído com vozes, melodias e batidas envolventes. São 15 faixas que representam a essência do espírito colaborativo da banda. A Mountain Tour começará com dois shows de aquecimento em Bradford nos dias 13 e 14 de março, antes da abertura oficial em Manchester, em 20 de março de 2026. A turnê passará por arenas no Reino Unido e Irlanda, com shows principais em Birmingham, Glasgow (ESGOTADO), Leeds, Cardiff (ESGOTADO), Nottingham, Liverpool, Belfast (ESGOTADO) e Dublin (ESGOTADO). Haverá ainda uma apresentação única no Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, em Londres, em 20 de junho de 2026 – o maior show da banda no Reino Unido até hoje – com Sparks e Trueno como convidados. A turnê também inclui datas em festivais por toda a Europa no verão de 2026.
